Yesterday, November 17th, I had the privilege of going to the grand opening of 1D World NY! Located next to Madison Square Garden, this store is HUGE and packed with everything you’d ever want, except for the actual boys!
As I walked in, my ears were filled with 8 different 1D songs playing at the same time. Take Me Home photos were plastered on the foundation poles, and girls immediately started writing “I love Harry!” and “Follow me on twitter!” all over them. I went and sang at the 1D karaoke corner, sponsored by Z100. Each person or group got to choose any song from One Direction’s long list of music, including songs not on their albums, like Na Na Na, Torn, and Forever Young.
I made my way over to the 1D phone booth next, and took a picture! Not much to say there – just a photo op 🙂
I stood in line to buy merchandise next… All of the items were quite expensive, but I saved up beforehand to be able to buy things for myself and my friends! I got the infamous 1D onesie in red, and a few posters. I bought my friends some trinkets.
I took some photos with the giant posters and cardboard cutouts, and then took a picture in front of a green screen, where they inserted me into a photo with the boys.
If you live in the New York area, I recommend stopping by the store and fangirling a bit! With the Live Tour DVD playing on TV’s on the wall and thousands of pictures of One Direction everywhere, it is a wonderland. I recommend staying for only about an hour, because it can get extremely overwhelming after a bit.

Rumors have been flying about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles dating. E! news, The X Factor USA, Perez Hilton – they’ve all reported that they are an item! Their relationship name is Haylor. What do you think of that possible fling? Like it? Hate it? Let us know at thedirectionertimes@gmail.com!
