The 1D World Store in NYC

Yesterday, November 17th, I had the privilege of going to the grand opening of 1D World NY! Located next to Madison Square Garden, this store is HUGE and packed with everything you’d ever want, except for the actual boys!
As I walked in, my ears were filled with 8 different 1D songs playing at the same time. Take Me Home photos were plastered on the foundation poles, and girls immediately started writing “I love Harry!” and “Follow me on twitter!” all over them. I went and sang at the 1D karaoke corner, sponsored by Z100. Each person or group got to choose any song from One Direction’s long list of music, including songs not on their albums, like Na Na Na, Torn, and Forever Young.
I made my way over to the 1D phone booth next, and took a picture! Not much to say there – just a photo op 🙂
I stood in line to buy merchandise next… All of the items were quite expensive, but I saved up beforehand to be able to buy things for myself and my friends! I got the infamous 1D onesie in red, and a few posters. I bought my friends some trinkets.
I took some photos with the giant posters and cardboard cutouts, and then took a picture in front of a green screen, where they inserted me into a photo with the boys.
If you live in the New York area, I recommend stopping by the store and fangirling a bit! With the Live Tour DVD playing on TV’s on the wall and thousands of pictures of One Direction everywhere, it is a wonderland. I recommend staying for only about an hour, because it can get extremely overwhelming after a bit.

In other news…
Rumors have been flying about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles dating. E! news, The X Factor USA, Perez Hilton – they’ve all reported that they are an item! Their relationship name is Haylor. What do you think of that possible fling? Like it? Hate it? Let us know at thedirectionertimes@gmail.com!

Bring1DtoUS Update!

The last challenge, the cover contest, was won by LA! Dallas holds the lead position, with LA and NYC tied for second, and Phoenix in third.
The next challenge is a fun one! Make a video to 1D’s new single, Live While We’re Young, and post it on YouTube! Try to get the most views and likes for your city! They will choose the winners based on popularity, creativity, and how fun the video is. Good luck to everyone!

All Sorts of Juicy Goss

Hey, Directioners! The last few days have been full of crazy stories about One Direction, from Harry supposedly punching someone to someone supposedly punching Niall. Here’s the low down on it all.

A couple of nights ago, some fans waiting outside the boys’ hotel decided they’d start a rumor on Twitter. They were originally going to say that they saw Zayn Malik smoking marijuana, but decided that was going too far. They instead went with a fib that Harry Styles punched someone. This caused an uproar on Twitter, causing the rumor to escalate to the point where people thought he was going to jail. I don’t know what he’d go to jail for, exactly. But that was that. The rumor-starter told everyone later, gloating that she trolled the whole fandom. Well played, troll. In other news, let’s think about how hot Harry angry would be…

Zayn got a tattoo of the outline of a puzzle piece on the inside of his elbow. What does it mean? Speculators say that it’s for a charity or representing that he’s one part of the 1D “puzzle”. Our guess? It’s probably something that none of us can even try and reach, because its meaning is so freaking deep.

Liam and Niall got mobbed in Times Square yesterday by sexually frustrated New York fans. Liam’s shirt was torn and Niall was hit in the face. They tweeted that it “wasn’t even funny” and it was “ridic”. Poor move, fans. Boo, hiss.

The classiest and most loved directioner, Sydney Dalton, and her friends were mocked by Niall on Twitter after going to their hotel’s gym in clothes that were extremely revealing and tight. They were apparently saying very suggestive things to Jon, a 1D band member, and we’re walking straight up to Liam while he was trying to work out. Security used very strong words to kick the girls out of the gym. In the words of Bon Qui Qui: Sah-curity? SAH-curity.

Liam went on twitcam for about five minutes last night, before it messed up. To make up for it, he followed about 500 fans. What a sweet angel. Thanks, Daddy Direction!!

They. Have. Landed.

One Direction has landed in New York City. The rumor was that they were going to Boston, but alas, no. They are in New York City.
They have booked a hotel, and they are going to a party tonight.

Flight Delayed

One Direction is at the airport in Sweden getting ready to fly to the UK. It’s unsure where they are landing, but we’re guessing London. They will be staying there for the night and flying to New York tomorrow.
Their flight is delayed, but they are waiting to board at the gate right now.

Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars? I could really a wish right now. (I wish to be on that plane with One Direction please).
