The past two weeks in 1D Land

As it’s the end of the semester, life has been pretty crazy for me. After this week, I should be ready to update you everyday!

Here’s what’s new…

Haylor. It’s a confusing tangled web of lies. We thought for a long time that it was fake – a sham – but now it seems like it is probably real. They spent two weeks together, holding hands in public, going to each others’ hotels, going to pubs and other dates. Harry continues to say that he is a single pringle, but let’s be real. There are videos of him and Taylor dancing and kissing backstage at the Jingle Ball.

Liam and Danielle are officially back together! That’s right, Payzer was seen happily together in New York City before their performance at Madison Square Garden.

It looks like Niall is the only single one now… Louis is with Eleanor, Harry with Taylor, Zayn with Perrie, and Liam with Danielle. Everyone is holding onto the glimmer of hope that is Niall Horan’s relationship status.

If you live under a rock, you probably still have heard that One Direction performed their biggest show ever at Madison Square Garden on December 3rd! The boys’ families, girlfriends, and friends were all in the audience cheering on their loved ones.

The boys are now back in the UK, after two performances in CT, one in NYC, two Jingle Balls, and a Go1Den ticket winners performance and meet and greet! They have some time off for the holidays and they’ll be getting ready for their Take Me Home World Tour in 2013!

Haylor Update and Twitter Fights Galore!

Haylor is most likely a big fat  f a k e. Harry Styles, in a recent interview, said he was single and that Taylor Swift isn’t his type. Why, then, did he say in the 1D Cosmo interview that he was interested in a girl who wasn’t his type? Things aren’t quite adding up. Our take? It’s a big ol’ publicity scam. They both have new albums out, and they’re the cutest single young adults on the music scene. We don’t like it, and judging from your responses from our last post about them, the majority of directioners agree with us: Haylor is not cute.

If you haven’t been following the boys’ twitter accounts for the last week or so, you’ve missed some crazy drama!

Louis and his best friend, Stan, got into a raging fight with Larry shippers. Stan did most of the dirty talk, but Louis responded to one male fan with a short and simple “Fuck You”. He also called Larry shippers “lost causes”. How do you feel about this outburst on the fans? Will you go down with this ship?

Harry, Niall and Liam all got in a tiff with Piers Morgan. It started over David Beckham, and grew into an all-out war. Harry called for help from their former mentor, Simon Cowell, and Liam rubbed the picture of them with the Queen of England in Morgan’s face. Piers returned with some low blows about pictures of their past and how he likes The Wanted better. Speaking of…

Zayn got into a twitter feud with The Wanted members, Tom and Max! Zayn started by calling Max a geek after he had posted a photo of himself and Usher “getting messy”. A little later, Max posted another “messy” picture of him with Psy, which Zayn returned with another remark about being a geek. Tom got involved, and after a few nasty tweets, the fight ended on a “high” note. Max told Zayn to lay off the bud, and Zayn returned with “Okay, Chlamydia boy ;)”. Benson from The Wanted later referred to One Direction as “Little Dicks”. Quality words, boys. Keeping it classy in the boy band world.

The 1D World Store in NYC

Yesterday, November 17th, I had the privilege of going to the grand opening of 1D World NY! Located next to Madison Square Garden, this store is HUGE and packed with everything you’d ever want, except for the actual boys!
As I walked in, my ears were filled with 8 different 1D songs playing at the same time. Take Me Home photos were plastered on the foundation poles, and girls immediately started writing “I love Harry!” and “Follow me on twitter!” all over them. I went and sang at the 1D karaoke corner, sponsored by Z100. Each person or group got to choose any song from One Direction’s long list of music, including songs not on their albums, like Na Na Na, Torn, and Forever Young.
I made my way over to the 1D phone booth next, and took a picture! Not much to say there – just a photo op 🙂
I stood in line to buy merchandise next… All of the items were quite expensive, but I saved up beforehand to be able to buy things for myself and my friends! I got the infamous 1D onesie in red, and a few posters. I bought my friends some trinkets.
I took some photos with the giant posters and cardboard cutouts, and then took a picture in front of a green screen, where they inserted me into a photo with the boys.
If you live in the New York area, I recommend stopping by the store and fangirling a bit! With the Live Tour DVD playing on TV’s on the wall and thousands of pictures of One Direction everywhere, it is a wonderland. I recommend staying for only about an hour, because it can get extremely overwhelming after a bit.

In other news…
Rumors have been flying about Taylor Swift and Harry Styles dating. E! news, The X Factor USA, Perez Hilton – they’ve all reported that they are an item! Their relationship name is Haylor. What do you think of that possible fling? Like it? Hate it? Let us know at thedirectionertimes@gmail.com!
